About Us
How it began
Before establishing the firm, the principal had worked in several private and community-based practices such as the Citizens Advice Bureaux and The Law Center. My experience is that barristers, solicitors, and caseworkers dealing with Immigration and Asylum clients with the best will in the world lack the basic understanding of the socio-economic and cultural difficulties faced by their clientele.
ICT Burea was born out of the need for a law firm with a unique insight into immigration and asylum clients. The firm opened for business in July 2005 and has blossomed into a renowned immigration and asylum practice.
We understand
Legal Aid funding is only available in Asylum matters with huge restrictions. A combination of these factors places Immigration and Asylum clients in a vulnerable position. The problem is sometimes made worse by language problems for those who English is a second or third language. But even more importantly, Immigration Law unlike any other area of law changes on a regular basis that even experienced judges have difficulty in keeping up with the constant changes of published Immigration rules and Home Office policies.
